About me

Marcin Wagner
Marcin Wagner creates expressive paintings that balance between figuration and abstraction. The central motif of his work is the human being — their emotions, identity, and the inner tensions hidden beneath the surface of everyday life.
The artist’s work is distinguished by a unique and recognizable visual language in which intense color becomes a carrier of emotion and energy. His characteristic transformed facial forms, symbolic compositions, and expressive textures create paintings with strong psychological and emotional impact. The geometrization of forms and the intuitive way of building the image shape a world full of ambiguity, fragments of memories, and personal interpretations.
Colour in Marcin Wagner's painting does not only have an aesthetic function – it is a living element of the narrative, influencing the mood, perception and emotional reception of the work. Each painting has its own, individual energy charge, thanks to which the artist's works are often perceived also in a therapeutic and intuitive dimension.
Each painting by Marcin Wagner is a unique work — both in form and in content. It is created as a singular, unrepeatable record of emotion, gesture, colour and intuition. The artist does not create copies of his works, prints or reproductions — each painting remains a one-of-a-kind original.
Marcin Wagner’s painting can be compared to a concept album. Each work is like a separate track, with its own rhythm, tension, theme and tone. At the same time, all the paintings — despite the diversity of forms, colours and series — form a larger whole: a coherent story about the human being, emotions, memory and the inner world.

Author exhibitions
Marcin Wagner has been painting continuously for over 25 years, constantly developing his own artistic language and expanding his creative experience. The artist has had three solo exhibitions — in Wismar (Germany) in 2010, Świnoujście in 2011 and Wrocław in 2025.
The variety of themes and styles is an integral part of his approach to art. The individual painting cycles differ formally, at the same time interpenetrating each other and creating a coherent, multidimensional story about emotions, man and inner experiences.
Marcin Wagner's paintings do not tell a single story — they leave the viewer space for their own reading of emotions, relationships and hidden meanings.
